2022 Kia EV6 Overview

The 2022 Kia EV6 is a rather special crossover/hatchback in that it is the first all-electric vehicle that Kia has ever designed and manufactured. The EV6 has another distinction in that it is a new nameplate that has been designed specifically as an EV rather than as an adaptation of another vehicle. The EV6 is slated to arrive at our Kia dealership serving Boardman Lancaster Hermitage Youngstown Pittsburgh in early 2022. While it will reach some markets earlier than that, the EV6 is still in preproduction as far as the U.S. is concerned, and there are a number of details that are subject to change and have not yet been announced. Nevertheless, an early 2022 Kia EV6 review is among our most popular requests.

One of the more exciting aspects of the EV6 is that little of the interior space is affected by the powertrain, and that means that it can it can deliver more legroom than is usual in a vehicle this size. While the U.S. specifications have not been released as of this 2022 Kia EV6 review, we do know that that the U.K. model is listed at 1,078 mm of front headroom, which is about 42.4 inches, and 990 mm of rear legroom, which is about 39.0 inches. For those who have not yet seen it, one of the standout features of the EV6 interior is dual 12.0-inch screens. One serves as the digital gauge cluster and the other a central touchscreen, and each display seems like an extension of the other.

Kia EV6 Mechanical specs

The EV6 crossover will be the first vehicle available at our location serving Boardman Lancaster Hermitage Youngstown Pittsburgh that is based on the new E-GMP platform. This 800-volt platform will eventually serve as the basis for at least 10 Kia vehicles, and the architecture is noteworthy in the charging times and range that it allows for compared to other current EVs. This platform will also support both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, and that will be an option with the EV6.
